I recently bought an Intel Core i9-14900K and have heard about stability and degradation problems affecting some 13th- and 14th-generation processors. I don't plan to overclock, but are there any BIOS updates, power settings, voltage limits, or other precautions I should apply to keep the CPU stable and healthy?

Start by updating the motherboard to its newest BIOS, since recent releases include Intel’s recommended stability fixes and default power settings. After that, use the motherboard’s Intel Default profile rather than an aggressive automatic performance profile. Enable XMP if you want your memory to run at its rated speed, then keep an eye on temperatures and system stability.
If the processor stays at reasonable temperatures under load, you probably don’t need to change much beyond the BIOS update and Intel default settings. Make sure the cooler is adequate and avoid automatic overclocking features. If temperatures or voltage are unusually high, you can look into a modest undervolt or stricter power limits, but test stability carefully after making changes.

I’d avoid disabling Hyper-Threading as a first step. It reduces performance and isn’t the normal solution for these issues; BIOS updates, Intel-recommended settings, cooling, and power limits make more sense to check first.
