I'm in my mid-40s and finally putting together a new gaming and light-office PC after using a Xeon E5, DDR3, and GTX 1080 system for nearly 13 years. I mainly play Overwatch, Diablo, and AAA single-player games such as Spider-Man, God of War, and Hades.
I already have a Lian Li V100 Mini case, an RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, several M.2 SSDs, older SATA drives, an IKEA gaming desk, a 27-inch Dell monitor, a 27-inch LG 5K display that needs Thunderbolt, and my existing keyboard and mouse. My old Klipsch 2.1 speakers and Herman Miller Aeron chair are both starting to fail.
What CPU, motherboard, and power supply would be a good match for the RTX 5070 Ti and DDR5 memory, while fitting the Lian Li V100 Mini case? I'd also appreciate recommendations for speakers and a replacement chair. For office software, I'd prefer a perpetual version rather than a subscription, although I'm not sure whether physical installation media for older versions is still practical.

For gaming, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with a B650 motherboard is still a strong value and would be an excellent match for the RTX 5070 Ti. Just make sure the board is the correct form factor for your case, since the V100 Mini takes micro-ATX rather than full ATX. You’ll also need a suitable ATX 3.1 power supply; something around 850W should generally be plenty, depending on the rest of the system.
The main parts you still need are the CPU, motherboard, and PSU. A Ryzen X3D chip makes the most sense for a gaming-focused build. A 7800X3D is a good value option, while a newer X3D model could be worth considering if the price difference is reasonable. Check motherboard dimensions carefully before buying—an X870 board listed as full ATX would not fit a micro-ATX case.
The Gigabyte X870 Gaming WiFi suggestion is full ATX, so it wouldn’t be compatible with the Lian Li V100 Mini. You’ll need a micro-ATX board for that case.
