I'm in the US and have about $100–$150 to spend on a motherboard. I'm planning to use an Intel Core i7-14700K with my existing 32GB of DDR4-3600 RAM in an 8GB × 4 configuration. I'm most familiar with ASUS BIOS, but I'm open to other brands since I don't know much about motherboard features yet. This will also be my first motherboard replacement, so I'd appreciate advice on which board to buy, what features matter, and whether I'll need anything besides the motherboard itself. I mainly use the PC for CPU-heavy competitive games and occasional AAA titles.

The 14700K can work with either DDR4 or DDR5, but the motherboard determines which memory type you can use. AM5 systems require DDR5, so switching to AMD would mean replacing your existing RAM. Since you want to keep your DDR4 kit, an LGA1700 DDR4 board makes more sense for this build.
MSI is worth considering and has a strong reputation for motherboard quality. ASUS is also fine if you prefer its BIOS, although driver and utility installation can be less convenient in some cases. Gigabyte is another reasonable option, while ASRock often costs less but may involve more hands-on troubleshooting. Whatever brand you choose, check the VRM cooling, BIOS support for 14th-generation CPUs, four-DIMM compatibility, and whether a BIOS update is required.
For the 14700K, look for an LGA1700 motherboard that specifically supports DDR4. Z690 and Z790 DDR4 boards are the obvious choices, but finding one within $100–$150 can be difficult. Some B760 DDR4 boards may also fit your budget, though you should verify CPU support and BIOS compatibility before buying.
I’ll check B760 DDR4 options too, as long as the board can handle the 14700K properly and supports all four of my RAM sticks.
