My RTX 2080 Super has died, and I'm looking for a replacement in roughly the $600 range. I was happy with its performance and don't need extremely high frame rates—around 60 FPS is generally enough for me. I'm considering an RX 9060 XT, but I'd appreciate suggestions for cards with similar or better performance and reasonable longevity.

For a cheaper option, look at used RX 7900 GRE, RX 7900 XT, RTX 4070 Super, or RX 7800 XT cards. The 7900 GRE in particular can be a great deal around $450–$500, while the 4070 Super is a good choice if you care more about ray tracing and Nvidia features. Just check the card’s condition and warranty when buying used.
The RX 9060 XT can work, but choose the 16GB version rather than the 8GB model. It should provide a solid step up from the 2080 Super, though the 9070 GRE or a discounted RX 9070 would offer better long-term value if your budget allows.
If you can stretch the budget or find a genuine deal, an RX 9070 XT is another excellent option. It is a much larger performance upgrade, but prices vary a lot, so don’t assume every listing is actually near $600. Also make sure your power supply and case can handle whichever card you choose.
The RX 9070 GRE looks like one of the strongest choices in this price range. It should be noticeably faster than the 9060 XT and offers plenty of VRAM for newer games. If you can find one around $550–$600, it’s worth considering.
Agreed—the 9070 GRE seems like the best balance of price and performance here.
An RX 9070 is also worth checking for sale. It has 16GB of VRAM, good performance, and relatively modest power consumption. If you can get one close to $600, buying new makes more sense than paying nearly the same for an older used card.

I found a 7900 GRE around $480 recently, and it was a substantial upgrade from my older card.
