I'm planning to move from Windows to Bazzite mainly for gaming. I've never used Linux before, and I'm starting fresh rather than transferring my existing files. What should I understand or prepare for before installing it?

Back up anything important before installing, even if you plan to start fresh. It’s also useful to keep a bootable Bazzite USB around so you can reinstall or troubleshoot if something goes wrong.
Before switching, check whether the games you care about actually work on Linux. Most single-player games and many multiplayer titles run well, but some games with unsupported anti-cheat systems may not launch or allow online play.
Bazzite is a solid gaming-focused choice, but remember that Linux handles software differently from Windows. Prefer the apps and tools recommended for Bazzite, avoid randomly adding third-party software sources, and only use administrator privileges when necessary.

I’m already aware that some multiplayer games have anti-cheat problems, but I’ll double-check the specific games I play.
