What ultrawide OLED monitor should I buy for WoW and work under $900 AUD?

I'm looking for a new monitor mainly for World of Warcraft at ultra settings and general work. I'm in Australia and have a budget of around $900 AUD, although I could stretch slightly for a worthwhile upgrade. I'm considering the Philips Evnia 34M2C6500, but I'm not sure whether it's a good choice and would appreciate alternative suggestions.

My system has a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB, 48GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and a fast PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. I'd prefer an ultrawide OLED display, but I'm open to advice on resolution, refresh rate, and suitable models for both gaming and productivity.

Your graphics card is a great match for 3440×1440, so an ultrawide OLED makes sense. The Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 should work well if it’s available around your budget, especially for WoW, where the OLED contrast and response time will look excellent. Just check the warranty and burn-in coverage before buying, since the monitor will also be used for work.

Thanks, I’ll definitely check the warranty details. I’m still trying to compare it with other OLED ultrawides.

For your preferences, I’d focus on 34-inch 3440×1440 OLED models running around 165–175Hz. Alienware’s AW3423DWF or newer equivalent models are worth checking if they fall within reach during a sale. They offer excellent gaming performance and image quality, although you should consider OLED text clarity and use the panel’s pixel-refresh features if you spend many hours working with static windows.

A 27-inch 1440p 240Hz OLED would also be a strong option if you decide that ultrawide isn’t essential, but for WoW and multitasking I’d probably stick with the 34-inch format.
