Since upgrading to an Intel Core i5-14600K, I've noticed that my Gamdias Boreas M2-51D cooler is fairly noisy, even though CPU temperatures usually stay below 80°C. I've already tried adjusting the fan curve, but it didn't make much difference. What replacement cooler would keep the processor cool while producing less fan noise?

If you want to stay with air cooling and don’t mind spending more, a Noctua tower cooler—such as the NH-D15 G2—would be a strong choice. Noctua fans are generally very quiet, though you’ll need to check case clearance and memory compatibility.
For a straightforward air-cooling replacement, the Thermalright Burst Assassin Evo is a good value option. It should handle the 14600K well while costing much less than premium coolers, and its fans can be tuned with a quieter curve.
A large 360 mm liquid cooler can also reduce fan noise under load because it has more radiator surface area, but it costs more and adds pump noise and another component that can eventually fail. Unless you specifically want liquid cooling, a good dual-tower air cooler or a quieter fan swap is likely the better first step.
Before replacing the whole cooler, consider swapping its fan for a quieter model with a lower noise rating. A quality Noctua fan in the same size could make a noticeable difference if the heatsink itself is performing well. Just verify the dimensions and mounting method first.
That’s probably the most cost-effective option if the temperatures are already acceptable. A fan swap may also be easier than changing the entire cooler.
