What’s the Best GPU Under $400 for 3D Modeling and Game Development?

I'm building my first full PC and want a graphics card for 3D modeling, Blender, and game development with engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine. My budget is around $400 USD or less, although I'm buying in Egypt and local pricing may vary. I've heard both AMD and NVIDIA can be good for this kind of work, and I'm also wondering whether Intel Arc is a reasonable option. How much VRAM should I aim for, and which GPU offers the best performance for the money?

A 5060 Ti could fit the budget depending on local pricing. If you’re considering AMD, look for a newer 16GB model such as an RX 9060 XT if it’s available at a good price. I’d prioritize VRAM and current software support over raw clock speed for modeling and development.

For Blender and game engines, VRAM matters a lot, especially when working with detailed scenes and textures. A card with 12GB or 16GB would be a better long-term choice than a faster card with only 8GB. Used higher-end cards can still work well, but check their condition and power requirements carefully.

Intel’s Arc B580 is worth considering if you can find it near its roughly $300 US price. Its 12GB of VRAM is useful for 3D work and game development, though availability and pricing in Egypt may be quite different. Check local reviews and software compatibility before buying.

I’m in Egypt, so I’ll need to compare the local price rather than assume it will cost the same as the US price.
