I'm considering selling my RTX 3090 because it could cover much of the cost of an RTX 5080. The problem is that 5080 cards still seem to be selling above MSRP, and they can disappear from stores within minutes. What's currently the most reliable way to set a maximum price and receive immediate push notifications when a card becomes available? I tried the HotStock app, but its design doesn't give me much confidence. Are there better price-alert services, deal trackers, or notification channels I should use?

A dedicated deal-tracking service or stock-alert app is probably the better fit if you need instant notifications and price limits. Set alerts for several retailers and exact model names rather than relying on one channel. Also, holding onto the 3090 until pricing settles may be worthwhile, since current 5080 prices are still inflated.
Keyword alerts on Slickdeals are a solid option. You can watch for specific models or phrases and get notified when matching deals appear. Just keep expectations realistic—an RTX 5080 at MSRP may be difficult to find, and popular listings can sell out quickly.
That’s the issue I’m running into. I need a push notification almost immediately, since the cards may be gone within five minutes. Finding out several hours later doesn’t really help.
