I'm looking for a straightforward way to run Android apps on Arch Linux. Most options I've found are aimed at other distributions or require complicated command-line setup. Is there anything that works more like a self-contained AppImage, similar to Dolphin or Flycast?

Waydroid is the main recommendation, but Genymotion is another option if you want a more traditional Android virtual device. It may be worth trying if Waydroid doesn’t work well with your hardware, though Waydroid is generally the smoother choice for everyday app use.
Waydroid is probably the simplest practical option on Linux. On Arch, you can install it from the repositories and use it without much command-line work afterward. Apps can be installed through F-Droid or by sideloading APKs, although it isn’t distributed as an AppImage.
There’s also a newer project called Lepton from Valve that may be worth watching. It’s less established, so Waydroid is likely the safer choice right now, but it could become a convenient alternative.
