I'm a beginner learning Python and I'm trying to understand how to use third-party libraries. For example, I've been looking at PyWiFi, but I can't find explanations for every function or option I want to use. What are the best places to find reliable, complete documentation for a Python library, and what should I do when the official documentation is incomplete?

Start with the library’s official documentation and source repository. Some small projects don’t have extensive guides, but their API documentation may still cover all the intended public methods. If something is unclear, reading the source code can help—especially for a small library like PyWiFi. You can also look for example projects that use the library to see how its functions are intended to work.

Documentation quality is worth considering before choosing a library for a project. If a package has poor or outdated documentation, check whether there’s a better-supported alternative. In some cases, writing a small amount of your own code may be easier and safer than depending on an unclear library.
