I have a BSc in Biology and want to take an online course that could lead to a work-from-home or online job. I'm considering web development, data analysis, and UI/UX design, but I'm unsure which path would suit me best. Does my non-computer-science degree put me at a disadvantage, and which option would be the most practical to start with?

Be realistic about working remotely right away. Junior remote roles are highly competitive, especially without professional experience, regardless of your degree. Focus first on learning one skill, creating several solid projects, and applying for internships, freelance work, or entry-level roles rather than expecting an online job immediately.
Your biology degree doesn’t automatically prevent you from entering any of these fields. You’ll need practical skills and a portfolio, though, so the degree alone won’t be enough. Data analysis could eventually connect well with science or healthcare, while web development and UI/UX are also possible if you prefer building websites or designing interfaces.
Don’t pay for an expensive course immediately. Try free beginner material in each area first and spend enough time on small projects to see which type of work you actually enjoy. Once one stands out, invest in a structured course if you still need it.
