I'm putting together a gaming PC and comparing several GPUs available in my country: the PNY RTX 5060 8GB Dual Fan for about $399; PNY RTX 5060 8GB Triple Fan ARGB OC for $474; MSI RTX 5060 Ventus 2X OC and Shadow 2X OC for around $470; ASUS RTX 5060 Dual for about $470; Gigabyte RTX 5060 Gaming OC for roughly $470; and the ZOTAC RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Twin Edge for around $477. My case is an MSI MAG FORGE 120A, so card dimensions aren't a major concern. I care most about cooling, noise, build quality, reliability, and gaming performance per dollar. Since the RTX 5060 Ti is only a few dollars more than most of the RTX 5060 models, I'm unsure whether it's the better choice. Which model would you pick, and why? I'd especially appreciate firsthand experience with temperatures, fan noise, and long-term quality.

For the same GPU, I’d generally choose the least expensive reputable model. The extra money for a larger cooler or factory overclock usually produces only a small performance difference, so it may not be worth paying an additional $70 or more for the PNY triple-fan or other premium RTX 5060 versions. At this pricing, it’s also worth checking the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, since it may offer better gaming value if you don’t need NVIDIA-specific features.
I’d be cautious about choosing the RTX 5060 Ti with only 8GB of VRAM. Although it is faster than the regular RTX 5060, newer games can run into memory limits sooner, which can lead to inconsistent performance or require reduced texture settings. If you stay with NVIDIA, the inexpensive RTX 5060 may be the more balanced buy unless you can stretch to a 16GB graphics card.
The Ti is only about $7 more than several of the regular RTX 5060 models, which is why I’m considering it. I’m mainly trying to figure out whether that small price difference is worth accepting the 8GB limitation.
