I've been dealing with noticeable jagged edges and shimmering for a while, and it happens on both my 1080p and 1440p monitors. Some games rely on weak anti-aliasing options such as FXAA or SMAA, which can leave thin lines looking jagged or shimmering. However, if you’re seeing the same effect in desktop apps and browser content, anti-aliasing alone probably doesn’t explain everything. It would be worth checking the NVIDIA driver installation, scaling settings, resolution and refresh rate, and whether the issue changes when using only one monitor.
Since this appears across multiple games and outside games too, compare the monitors separately and temporarily disconnect one.
