Why is my postal code rejected when I try to make a purchase?

I'm trying to buy MCD2 through the official Minecraft launcher, but the checkout form rejects my postal code and only says that the format is incorrect. I've tried adding a space, using a ZIP+4 format, and several other variations, but nothing works. My region and account settings appear to be set to the United States, and I've tried both my current ZIP code and the one linked to my payment card. What could be causing this?

The first thing to check is the region selected for your account or the checkout page. A region mismatch can make a valid postal code look incorrectly formatted. Also make sure the billing address and postal code exactly match the address registered with your payment card.

I checked the account and device settings, and both show the United States even though the checkout still rejects the code.

Are you entering the ZIP code connected to the card's billing address rather than just the address where you currently live? Since you're purchasing through the official launcher, the payment provider may validate the billing details exactly. If both versions fail, the issue may be with the account's store region or the payment method rather than the ZIP code itself.

I tried both the card's billing ZIP code and my current ZIP code, but neither was accepted.
