I'm putting together my first PC, mainly for gaming from the couch, and I'd like a second opinion on whether the parts in my build are compatible and sensible. I'm planning to run Bazzite, so I chose an AMD graphics card because it should provide a smoother Linux experience and offers good value. Most of my gaming will be at 1440p, although I'd also like to understand what performance to expect at 4K. I've already changed the planned 1TB SSD to a 2TB model, and the parts are arriving soon, so I'm a little nervous about assembling everything for the first time.

Double-check the memory pricing before ordering. Paying around $650 for 32GB of RAM seems wildly high, so it may be a listing or market-price issue worth investigating. That money could potentially be put toward a better-balanced component elsewhere.
The graphics card is a strong choice for 1440p gaming, and AMD is generally a sensible option for Linux and Bazzite. Just don’t expect every game to run at native 4K and 120 FPS—reaching that level usually requires a much more expensive GPU. For 1440p couch gaming, though, this should be a very capable setup.
Since the parts are already on the way, don’t stress too much. Take your time, keep the motherboard manual nearby, and make sure the motherboard is installed with the correct standoffs before powering on. The first build feels intimidating, but following the manuals step by step usually makes it manageable.
