Hey folks! I'm building a PC for a friend and I'm looking for some advice. The prices where I live are $700 for the 9070 XT and $820 for the 5070 Ti. I'm leaning towards the 9070 XT because it's cheaper, but my friend prefers Nvidia for its frame generation feature. He's gaming on a 4K 120Hz LG OLED TV and wants to maximize his frame rates, so he's okay with using upscalers. Do you think the price difference is justified between the 9070 XT and the benefits of frame generation and DLSS 4 with the 5070 Ti?

If ray tracing is a big deal for your friend, then the 5070 Ti might be your best bet. I've got a 4070 Ti, and it runs 4K 120Hz beautifully without DLSS in most games, but ray tracing does hit hard. If he doesn’t care about ray tracing, save the cash and go for the 9070 XT.
Honestly, for 120Hz gaming, you need to consider the base FPS in your games. If you're looking at frame generation, it might not even be viable unless your base FPS is pretty high. Has your friend used frame generation before? That could impact how well it works for him.
For straight-up 4K gaming, I'd recommend the 5070 Ti. DLSS is supported in quite a few titles, which is a plus. But keep in mind, frame generation is a bit laggy. If he's aiming for 120 FPS, he might only need regular frame generation unless he’s playing ray tracing-heavy games.
Exactly! DLSS is super helpful, especially at 4K. If ray tracing isn't a priority, the 9070 will handle 4K gaming just fine.
