I'm considering upgrading my GPU and I've got a budget of around $2000. I'm torn between getting the 5070 Ti, which is slightly more expensive at $200 extra compared to the 9070 XT, or going with the 9070 XT instead. Are there any compelling reasons to choose the 5070 Ti over the 9070 XT besides the price? I'm particularly interested in features like frame generation and if the Nvidia drivers would be easier to manage. Also, I'm more inclined towards Nvidia but my new PC build seems to favor Radeon. For context, I'm using a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU.

Honestly, I don't think the extra $200 is worth it for the 5070 Ti. The 9070 XT is a fantastic card and performs incredibly well for the price. I'd go with that if I were you!
While Nvidia does have some superior features, I wouldn't spend an extra $200 just for that. The 9070 XT delivers solid performance at a better price.
If you're not really into things like ray tracing or extra features like DLSS, the 9070 XT is a solid choice. It offers great performance for the price, especially if you're just gaming.
And the drivers for Nvidia right now aren’t exactly the best. AMD has made strides!
If you're really into ray tracing and path tracing, then you might find some value in the 5070 Ti. But in most other scenarios, the 9070 XT seems like the better option overall.
Yeah, in ray tracing they perform pretty similarly, but the 5070 Ti shines in path tracing and there are only a handful of titles using it right now.
And don't forget, AI features could be a bonus if you're into those!
For a $200 difference, definitely go with the 9070 XT. If it were under $100, then it might be a different story, but this just makes more sense economically.
100% agree with you!
