I was cleaning my iPhone and accidentally spilled some 91% isopropyl alcohol into the charging port. I quickly turned it off and flipped it over. To dry it out, I used compressed air and left it with a fan running overnight for about 12 hours. I really need to use my phone today and can't let it dry any longer. So, is it safe to use now? It seems to be working perfectly fine – the touchscreen is responsive, and it powered on without any issues. Any advice would be appreciated!

You're good! IPA evaporates quickly and isn't conductive. Modern iPhones are built to handle a lot, including brief submersions in water. No need to stress about it!
You should be fine! Isopropyl alcohol evaporates really quickly. If there were going to be any immediate issues, you would have noticed them right away.
Thanks! I didn't see any immediate damage, so it seems like it’s okay. I just let it dry overnight to be safe.
Isopropyl alcohol is non-conductive, so it generally won't harm your electronics like water could. Just be careful because it might weaken the adhesive seals in your phone. I'd be cautious around moisture in the future!
Exactly! It's great for cleaning, but you do have to watch out for any glue that might get loosened.
For sure! I’m definitely going to be more careful with water from now on.
Honestly, if you had to spill something, isopropyl alcohol is probably one of the best options. It's less risky than other liquids!
Exactly! I feel lucky that it was this and not something worse.
Isopropyl alcohol is a great choice for cleaning electronics! Just make sure everything is dry before using it. If it feels dry after the fan, you should be in the clear.
Yeah, I've had a fan on all night, and it feels completely dry!
Awesome, I'm really relieved to hear that! Glad to know my phone can handle a little mishap.
