We're experiencing activation prompts on our Windows 11 Enterprise devices after updating from version 23H2 to 25H2. It seems that Microsoft removed gatherosstate.exe in a recent November update, which might be causing this issue. We upgrade via an OSD IPU Task Sequence in ConfigMgr 2503 and use a mix of KMS and Active Directory-based activation depending on our AD DS domains. Has anyone encountered similar issues? With a large remote workforce, this activation message could lead to significant problems, especially since we didn't have this issue going from Windows 10 22H2 to Windows 11 23H2 last year.

I've noticed quite a few activation prompts popping up lately too, but I thought it might just be a deployment hiccup on our end. We only have a few hundred users affected, so it’s manageable for now. Still, it's good to be aware that there could be a broader issue at play here.
Not sure why you're experiencing this if you didn't use 24H2 yet. We didn't run into this problem since we staggered our updates and tested each version thoroughly in a separate OU. It might help to have a structured upgrade plan going forward.

That's a bit off-topic but I get it. We were facing issues with 24H2 being quite buggy, so our team opted for the more stable release instead. It’s a different ball game when you have tens of thousands of users across multiple domains.
