Hey there, I'm putting together my very first gaming PC and I've got a budget of around €1250. My goal is to run modern and upcoming games smoothly, especially heavier titles like Ready or Not and Red Dead Redemption 2. I also play CPU-intensive games like RimWorld with mods. I'm targeting solid 1080p or even 1440p performance, and I want the setup to be somewhat futureproof for the next few years. Here's what I have so far:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **Motherboard**: ASUS PRIME B650-PLUS WiFi (AM5)
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 CL30 32GB (2x16GB)
- **Storage**: Kingston NV3 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- **GPU**: Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT 16GB
- **Case**: NZXT H5 Flow (2024)
- **PSU**: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W 80+ Gold (fully modular)
The total comes to around €1242. Are there any weak spots or suggestions for improvements? Thanks a lot!

Check out this alternative build I made with slightly better performance for just a bit more budget:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- **GPU**: MSI VENTUS 2X OC GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
- **Storage**: Lexar NM790 2 TB SSD
It’s a bit over your budget but gives you better performance and more storage space. If you really need to stick to €1250, we can tweak it a bit further!
Solid setup, but I recommend going for at least a 2TB SSD. Modern games are getting bigger, and you'll likely find yourself needing that space sooner than later!
Great point! I’m definitely considering an upgrade in storage.
Your build looks pretty solid overall! One thing to consider is the Kingston NV3 SSD. Some users have noted that it slows down as it fills up because of its cache. You might want to think about a different SSD if speed is a priority for you.
What country are you in? That can help others suggest the best places to order components.
I'm in the Netherlands right now.
Where are you ordering your GPU from? I've seen the RX 9060 XT priced differently at various places. Just make sure to shop around for deals!
I'll check multiple sites. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll look into that alternative.
