I'm planning to build my first gaming PC, and I have a budget of around $3000. I'm looking to play games like Cyberpunk and Black Myth: Wukong, and I'm curious if the components I've chosen work well together. Is this build overkill for a 1440p 240Hz display? Here's the parts list I'm considering:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB (2024) 75.12 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
- **Memory**: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
- **Video Card**: Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB Video Card
- **Case**: NZXT H9 Flow RGB (2025) ATX Mid Tower Case
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM1000x 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
- **Case Fans**: NZXT F120 RGB 50.18 CFM 120 mm Fans 3-Pack

You can get similar performance for about $800 less! If RGB isn't a priority, check out my revised build list. You might be surprised by how much you can save without sacrificing performance!
Honestly, $3000 feels a bit steep, but your build looks solid for gaming! My setup is quite similar, and I'm loving it! Enjoy your build!
Looks like you could cut back on some parts and still have an amazing setup for less money. You could probably save around $500. But if you want to stick with this build, it's definitely a solid choice!
What parts do you think could be replaced to save money?

Haha, I get it! The RGB aesthetics are worth the extra for some people!
