Advice Needed for a $3000 Gaming and Software Development PC Build

I'm currently using an MSI GF65 Thin laptop with an Intel i7-10750H, a 1660Ti mobile GPU, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I'm looking to upgrade to a new PC build for up to $3000. My main uses are gaming—particularly World of Warcraft and newer titles like Battlefield 6 at 1440p, 144Hz—and software development, primarily web development with some AI projects. I already have peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and a 1440p monitor but haven't been able to utilize the monitor's full capabilities due to limitations with my current HDMI port. I've made a preliminary parts list [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2VjP3R), and I'm wondering if I'm overspending or if I should be reallocating my budget across different components to ensure a solid build for the next 3-4 years.

You might want to look at this RAM option; it's a bit cheaper yet still solid for gaming and dev work. Also, I tweaked your parts a bit in this build list [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/P8hnH3), which includes a 2TB SSD that's a good addition for storage!

You could save about $100 by opting for a 5070Ti instead of what you've selected. If you're near a Micro Center, look for bundle deals on the CPU, motherboard, and RAM; you could save about $300 and maybe splurge on a 5080. Water cooling isn't really needed unless you're aiming for something specific—a decent air cooler would give similar performance for a much lower cost.

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any specific recommendations for good air coolers? I'm open to switching from Intel since I've only used them for years.
