I'm looking to build a high-performance gaming PC specifically for 1440p gaming, with a budget of around $1,800. I'm open to using slightly older components to save some money, but I want to make sure my choices are solid enough that I won't regret them in a year's time. What components should I prioritize in this build: GPU, CPU, RAM, or storage? Have any of you built a combo that you'd recommend?

Given the current situation with PC prices, it may be hard to include a 5070Ti without compromising on other essentials.

You don't necessarily need the 7800X3D; the 7600X will suffice. Look for deals on a good 1TB SSD. Honestly, even with prices being high now, I think you’re safe with older parts for a while since new games won’t be super demanding for at least a year. You'll likely be able to run most current games smoothly with a solid build from last gen.
