Advice Needed for My First AMD Build

I'm currently working on my first AMD build and could use some guidance. Here's my setup: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rt3YFZ](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rt3YFZ). I'm a bit confused about the Ryzen CPUs, but I've heard that the 7700X is a solid choice. I'm particularly interested in whether this is the best match for the 5070 Ti. I'm open to spending more on components if necessary, but I would rather keep the Nvidia card for work-related tasks. Quality is more important to me than saving a few bucks. Also, is the motherboard I picked the best option for AMD, or do you have any other recommendations? Lastly, are there legitimate places to purchase Windows keys besides Microsoft?

The 7700X pairs well with the 5070 Ti. Honestly, most Ryzen CPUs from the 7000 and 9000 series work great with it. It boils down to your gaming preferences—if you're into AAA games at 4K or need high FPS for competitive titles. But all in all, there's no 'bad' choice in those Ryzen CPUs.

When considering the 5070 Ti, you don't need to pay an extra $200 for a slightly better model, since the performance differences are minimal. If you want aesthetics, sure; otherwise, save your money! Also, the 7700X doesn't require an AIO cooler unless you're in a consistently hot environment. A good air cooler would work just fine. Alternatively, your case is inexpensive, but it could have better airflow with different options like the Antec C3 or Corsair 3500X. As for RAM, look for 6000 CL30 instead of 6000 CL36 since it's generally considered better. Finally, consider upgrading your PSU to a high-quality one like BeQuiet for better longevity and performance.

Thanks a ton for this info! Didn't realize the RAM speed mattered that much—saves me a headache later! I'm aiming for stable performance at 2K with high settings for single-player games like Elden Ring. Really appreciate your insights on the case and power supply too!

Yeah man, the BeQuiet PSUs are top-notch for a great price! Avoid the lower-end models; you'll thank yourself later.

Your build isn't really about cost-saving, but aiming for performance. If you're set on a budget, my build composition might look like this: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6F4LRV].

Thanks for sharing your build! I'm definitely open to suggestions.

I suggest swapping out the AIO cooler for a more affordable air cooler like the Thermalright model. You might also want to skip the Lian Li fan pack since your case already comes with some fans. Use that extra cash to upgrade your CPU instead!

Solid idea, didn't even notice the case fans were included!
