Asked By NerdyGamer92 On

I'm planning to build my first desktop PC and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the options out there. My budget is £1000, but I'm not sure which CPU, GPU, and other components I should go for. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! (Please, no trolling!)

For a solid start, I suggest going with the i5-14600K and pairing it with a 5070. It's a decent setup for your budget!

Honestly, if you want the best bang for your buck, consider pushing your budget to £1100 to snag a 9070 instead of the 5070. You'll get better performance with more memory for a similar price. Here's a build I found:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X - £157 @ Amazon UK
- **Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin - £29.99 @ Overclockers
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus - £121.79 @ Clove Technology
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB - £99.74 @ Amazon UK
- **Storage**: Patriot P300 2TB NVMe SSD - £94.99 @ Amazon UK
- **GPU**: PowerColor Hellhound 9060 XT - £344.94 @ CCL Computers
- **Case**: Montech AIR 100 ARGB - £46.94 @ CCL Computers
- **PSU**: MSI MAG A750GL 750W - £84.99 @ Amazon UK
Total comes to about £980.38, which should fit well and give you solid 1080 or even 1440 gaming capability!

That looks like a pretty decent build! I agree, it should handle gaming really well!
