Hey everyone! I'm building a PC specifically for flight simulation, mainly focusing on running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 at the highest settings, aiming for at least 30fps. I've selected some components and would love to get your thoughts on their performance and value for money. I'm happy with the price I've put together but am always open to suggestions for more budget-friendly options. Here's my current build:

- **CPU:** Intel Core i7-14700K 3.4 GHz 20-Core Processor (£307.19)
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Aqua Elite V3 66.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£39.95)
- **Motherboard:** MSI B760M GAMING PLUS WIFI Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard (£129.99)
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Memory (£99.99)
- **Storage:** Western Digital Blue SN580 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD (£109.99)
- **Video Card:** Zotac Twin Edge GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Video Card (£389.99)
- **Case:** Deepcool CC360 ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower Case (£43.94)
- **Power Supply:** Deepcool PL750D 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£52.94)

Total cost: £1,173.98 (including shipping, taxes, and discounts). Let me know what you think!

This build brings back memories of my first PC for FS2020! Best of luck with your new setup, and I hope you have a great time flying once it's all put together!

thank u!! I do still control often but since FS24, my laptop has been struggling with airliners, and that + custom scenery and other stuff just makes IFR airliners not enjoyable. Getting tired of VFR GA now as well haha so figured now was the time

Have you considered going for an X3D CPU instead? They tend to perform better in MSFS. Plus, I’ve heard the Intel 14 series can degrade over time, so it might be worth checking other options.

that's some pretty awesome advice thank you! The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is about £330, so only £20 more expensive. I'm more than happy to spend that money! The 7 9800 X3D is £390, so not sure if it's worth that jump.

8/10, but I don’t see any ultrawide support!
