Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my current PC and also plan on building a second, smaller computer for gaming on my TV. I want to make this new PC fit nicely near my TV, ideally in a small form factor like a PlayStation. I've been considering buying an old PC to use as a base for my upgrades, but I'm struggling to find something that fits my budget and requirements.
Alternatively, I'm thinking about sourcing new or used parts to create two PCs: one for gaming at 1440p and another for my TV that targets 1080p gaming. However, I'm not up-to-date with the latest CPU and GPU options and I'm trying to keep costs around £500.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

Building a small form factor (SFF) PC can be quite pricey because of the specialized components involved. For a solid setup, consider getting a Ryzen 7 5700X3D paired with a Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU, along with 32GB of DDR4 RAM (aim for 3200 or 3600 MHz with two 16GB sticks from the same kit). The performance will be great for both gaming and overall use!
I think the 5700X3D is on the expensive side, especially if your current CPU is still holding up well. Also, about the RAM, when I mentioned a single rated kit, I meant that both sticks should be sold as a pair rather than buying two separate sticks, which can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
