Hey everyone! I recently inherited a PC from a close friend who passed away. He had plans to upgrade it before he loved, but never got around to it. I have the specs listed below and I'm hoping to get some tips on how to improve its performance for gaming. I'm not aiming for 4K or anything too intense—just simpler games like Fortnite, Peak, and R.e.p.o. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Here are the current specs of the PC:
- **Processor**: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.60 GHz
- **RAM**: 24.0 GB (21.9 GB usable)
- **Storage**: 932 GB HDD WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0
- **Graphics Card**: AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics (2 GB) and NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 (985 MB)
- **Motherboard**: Asrock B450M-IBW

It all depends on what you want to spend! A solid upgrade path would be to get a better GPU, like a GTX 2060 or RX 5600, and maybe bump your CPU to a Ryzen 5600 or 5700x. An SSD is also a game changer for speed. Check your power supply too, you may need a stronger one for those upgrades!

First things first, ditch that GeForce GT 710—it’s actually worse than your CPU's integrated graphics. Connect your monitor directly to the motherboard instead. After that, consider a dedicated GPU like a GTX 1650 Super or RX 580 to enhance your gaming experience significantly.

For about $300 to $400, you can get this PC gaming-ready. Look for a used Ryzen 5600 for about $100, and pair it with a good GPU like a 2060 Super or 3060, it’ll make a huge difference. Also consider picking up an SSD for faster loading times—500GB drives can be found pretty cheap.

Honestly, this build is on the lower end. If I were you, I'd keep it as it is for sentimental reasons and not spend too much on upgrades. You can make it work for casual gaming, but if you really want upgrades, I’d suggest looking into better components and possibly getting a new PC altogether for better performance.

Your processor and GPU definitely need an upgrade. The RAM is fine if it's DDR4, but switching to an SSD would help a lot with loading times in games like Fortnite. Let me know your budget, as that’ll help narrow down the best options. And check out PCPartPicker for component compatibility!
