Advice Needed for Upgrading My GPU

Hey everyone! I built my current PC back in late 2020, and besides upgrading my CPU, I haven't touched my graphics card. I'm thinking it's high time for a GPU upgrade. Here are my current specs:

- **Processor:** Ryzen 5 5600X
- **Motherboard:** MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
- **RAM:** T-Force Vulcan 64GB
- **Graphics Card:** Asus GeForce 1660 Super

As a Twitch streamer and VTuber, I need to run both games and my streaming software simultaneously. Recently, while trying to stream Resident Evil 9, my PC handled the game fine, but the encoding got overloaded, and I couldn't find any workarounds. I'm looking for suggestions on GPUs that would be suitable for my setup, and if there are any other upgrades I should consider!

Definitely consider the 5070 if you can swing it, along with a strong PSU! You’ll want something that can handle the load.

What's your budget and the wattage of your power supply? That'll help narrow down the choices.

My current PSU is 500W, but I'm open to upgrading it if necessary. For the budget, I’d prefer to keep it under $700, but I’m aware I might need to spend a bit more for a good card.

The Radeon 9060 XT with 16GB is a solid choice to start with. If you can push your budget a bit, the RTX 5060 Ti is fantastic for streaming. It uses NVENC which really helps keep performance smooth while you stream. If you're pushing for 1440p gaming, the 9070 XT is also excellent and can handle 150+ FPS on max settings using Frame Generation and DLSS!

I've heard a lot of buzz around the 5070 too—would that be a better option than the 5060 Ti?

If you're looking for a solid upgrade, you might want to avoid any GPUs with less than 12GB of VRAM for future-proofing. It's becoming the new standard, especially for gaming and streaming at higher qualities.
