Advice Needed for Upgrading My GPU Before the Market Changes

I'm currently using a Ventus OC RTX 2080 Super, which has been slightly under-volted, running at 1910 MHz with a stable +800 memory clock. However, I feel it's getting old and might fail next year, especially since games have started to push me into mid settings. I'm aiming for 1080p gaming and want to future-proof my setup a little. My current setup includes 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a Ryzen 5700X3D, all on an MSI B450 VDH-MAX motherboard with only PCI 3.0 x16 slots. What would be the best mid-budget GPU upgrade for me?

I've got the 5060 Ti with 16GB for 1440p, and I think you should prioritize getting something with at least 16GB of VRAM. It won't max out 4K at 100fps, but it handles most games well at 60fps. If you’re playing at 1080p, it's an excellent choice that should serve you well.

It really depends on your budget. If you can spend around what you did on your 2080 Super back in the day, then a 5070 Ti at about $750 could replace it well. If you're looking for something cheaper, the 9070 XT is around $600-$650. If you want to save even more, the 9060 16GB at $380 or 5060 Ti at $430 could be good options too.

If you're looking for bang for your buck, the cheapest you can get for a 9070 is about $530. But if you want something even cheaper, a 9060XT 16GB goes for around $360 right now. Just be cautious because the lower-end options might not be as future-proof.
