Advice Needed for Upgrading My GPU on a Budget

I'm looking for some guidance on upgrading my GPU. Here's my current setup:
- Intel i5 12400
- Asrock h610 m2 r2
- 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RAM (2x16GB)
- Coolermaster Silver 550W PSU
- 1TB WD NVMe SSD
- 1TB Crucial SSD
- GTX 1660 Super

I just upgraded to a 27-inch 2K monitor, and now my GTX 1660 Super is struggling with games at 1440p. I'm on a tight budget as I'm a medical student and a casual gamer. Currently, I'm considering selling my GTX 1660 Super for around $100-$120 and I have about $300-$320 to spend on a new GPU if I can get a sale going.

In my area, here are some options I found:
- RTX 3060 12GB: $450-$500
- 5050 8GB: $300
- 7600 XT: $280
- 9060 XT 8GB: $320-$360
- 5060 8GB: $450-$520
- 5060 16GB or 9060 16GB: $650-$700

Should I go for one of these options now considering my budget, or should I wait for something better to come along? I have some spare RAM sticks, but can't find a buyer for those to increase my budget. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're considering used GPUs, just be cautious. I've had some bad experiences where the used cards died quickly.

The 9060 XT at that price seems like the best value option right now. It's recommended by quite a few users in similar situations, so it’s worth considering.

Thanks! I’ve noticed more people mentioning the 9060 XT. I might go for it!

True, I’ve heard the used market can be risky in many areas. It's good to stick with new ones if possible for reliability.

Definitely lean towards the 9060 XT 8GB. It offers solid performance for its price. Some folks mentioned the 5050 has its advantages, but at the end of the day, the 9060 seems to hold better value right now.

Would the 9060 be better than the 5050? I've read good things about the 5050's DLSS feature, but the pricing is similar.

Just a heads up, the 9060 16GB being around $650 seems high in comparison. Prices are so strange these days.
