I'm looking to upgrade my PC setup. Right now, I'm using a Vega 64 graphics card, and I'm planning to make some changes. My current specs are: an ASUS Crosshair VII Hero motherboard, a Ryzen 2700x CPU, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3000 MHz. I'm thinking of upgrading to a combination of a 7700XT graphics card, a Ryzen 5700x processor, and boosting my RAM to 32GB at around 3200 MHz. I've got an 800W platinum PSU that's only a couple of years old, so I'd like to use that for this upgrade. With a budget of about $1200, will these components work well together?

Before you go ahead, could you tell me what country you’re in? If you’re in the US, check out if there’s a MicroCenter nearby. They often have great deals on components that can save you a ton!
Looks like a solid upgrade! You might be a bit over budget though, just by $4, especially if you consider a switch to an RTX 5070 for some savings. I put together a part list for you that fits nicely under your budget:
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600 CPU for around $198
- MSI B650 gaming motherboard for $170
- 32GB RAM for about $85
- A PowerColor Red Devil OC Radeon RX 9070 for about $750. All total: $1203.87! A great combo! You should be thrilled with the performance.
Just a heads up, you listed the non-XT version of the 9070 for $750, which might not give you the same performance. Double-check that!
