Advice Needed on Choosing a GPU for My New Build

I'm currently using my old GTX Titan while I wait to get a new GPU for my setup. I've got a Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 64GB of RAM, and I'm looking for recommendations on which GPU to choose. I'm considering a local option for an RX 7900 XTX priced around $830, or alternatives like the 9070 XT and 5070 Ti for about $80 more. I'm also contemplating whether I should save up a bit to get a 5080, which is around $1,300. The only option I can get locally is the XTX, while the others would need to be ordered online. Any guidance would be appreciated!

I'd definitely recommend the RX 7900 XTX for the best bang for your buck. Performance-wise, it outshines the other options. However, if stable drivers are a priority for you, Nvidia might be the way to go. Just keep in mind that their driver issues have been a hot topic lately.

Yeah, I’ve heard Nvidia's drivers have been pretty buggy lately. If you want reliability, maybe AMD is more reliable right now.

Honestly, go for the 9070 XT or the 5070 Ti, whichever is cheaper. If you're inclined to pay a little extra for Nvidia, the 5070 Ti could be worth it. The 5080 isn’t a great deal given it’s only about 15% faster than the 5070 Ti but almost double the cost.

Honestly, for something simple, you could just grab a GT 710 or go all out and get an RTX 4090 if you want the best of the best!
