Advice Needed on Upgrading My CPU and GPU for Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm looking to enhance my gaming setup. Currently, I have an AMD Ryzen 3600X processor and a GTX 1660 Super GPU. I'd like to upgrade both the CPU and GPU so I can handle newer games and maybe even dabble with some smaller local LLMs. I want to keep costs down, especially since the pricing and availability of GPUs seem a bit all over the place right now. I've considered upgrading to a Ryzen 5700X CPU, but I'm not certain about the GPU. My monitor is currently 1080p, but I'd love to get something that could support 1440p gaming in the future. Also, I can't recall the wattage of my power supply. Do I need to replace it alongside these upgrades? And lastly, do you think the CPU upgrade is worth it for my needs?

What’s your budget like? Also, where are you located? That can really help narrow down the options since prices can vary quite a bit depending on availability.

I'm in the US right now, and I really don’t want to break the bank—aiming for under $1,000.

I actually think you might get more bang for your buck with the Ryzen 5600XT instead of the 5700X. You’ll experience about 95% of the gaming performance but save around $50!

If you're looking for a good GPU that won't break the bank and works well for 1440p gaming, I’d suggest the 5060 Ti with 16GB. It's a solid choice, especially considering the current price trends.

You might also want to consider the 9060 XT, as long as you go for the 16GB version. It also performs well for 1440p.

How about a 1050 Ti?

Is that actually an upgrade from the 1660S, though?
