Advice Needed: Should I Choose iPhone 17 or Oppo Find X9 for My Next Phone?

I'm looking to buy a new phone, and right now, I'm considering two options: the iPhone 17 and the Oppo Find X9 (both base models). My budget is around RM3800, which is roughly equivalent to 89,225₹, 57,693PHP, $966, 1,315.41 CAD, or 1,234 SGD.

Here are my requirements: I want a phone that can last me 4-5 years, offers good storage (I'd prefer at least 256GB, with 512GB being ideal), has a great battery life, and solid software support. I'll be using it for movies, gaming, and photography, plus I need to transfer my WhatsApp chats. I'm interested in playing games like World of Assassination and Fortnite, but that's not the top priority. I also watch a lot of movies and TV shows.

Pros:
- Great storage and battery life
- Easier transfer process since I've used Oppo before
- More freedom and customization with Android
- Good camera quality
- Comes at a lower price with extras like a charger and case

Cons:
- Speakers aren't amazing
- Overheating issues reported with basic tasks
- Limited game compatibility compared to iPhone

**iPhone 17** (Price: RM3,600)
Pros:
- Excellent long-term use
- Better communication features for FaceTime with family
- Good gaming options available on iOS
- Compact size is comfortable for my small hands

Cons:
- Difficulties reported when transferring WhatsApp chats
- Tends to overheat quickly
- Battery life can be inconsistent
