Advice on a New Gaming PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm looking to get back into PC gaming after taking a break. I used to have a pretty weak setup (i5-7500 and a 1060 6GB) back in 2020, and since I took apart my old PC, I've been out of the loop with all the updates and options available. I'm considering a new build and wanted your opinions. Would a configuration with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RX 9060 XT 16GB, and 32GB of RAM hold up for a few years before needing upgrades? I appreciate any advice you can offer! Thanks! 🙂

I'd suggest going for the RX 9070 XT 16GB instead of the 9060. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently one of the best options for gaming processors.

Thanks for the tip! What real-world differences should I expect between the 9060 and 9070?

Are you planning to game at 1080p or 1440p? Based on that, you might also want to consider the 9600X CPU as an alternative.

Mostly 1080p, but I could be tempted to try 1440p in the future!

Definitely go for the 9070 XT over the 9060 XT. You could also save a bit by picking the 7800X3D instead of the 9800X3D. Both are excellent CPUs, and the performance difference between the two isn't huge—only about 10%.

Great advice! Do you have preferred brands for these components, or is it pretty standard?
