I'm tasked with building a PC for one of my parents who works from home for a small business. The budget is set at $1500, which should allow for a solid setup. The work isn't very demanding, but I'd prefer to prepare a system that's a bit over the top to ensure longevity and avoid any issues they've faced in the past. I've put together a spec list, and while I know it's quite powerful for their needs, I'm eager to get feedback and suggestions on it.

Have you considered what tasks they actually do on the computer? For your budget, you could even get multiple mini PCs and just swap them out as needed. If it's mainly for browsing, word processing, or spreadsheets, a mini PC for around $300 might be more efficient and easier to manage.
Totally agree! Building a PC to last a decade is tough since tech changes so quickly. For light use, something less complex would definitely do the trick.
