Hey there! My brother recently upgraded most of his PC components, leaving his GPU as the last piece to update. Currently, he has a 2x16 GB GDDR5 6400MHz RAM setup along with a Ryzen 5 7600X processor. He's looking to replace his Radeon 6600 XT and is considering three different GPUs: the RTX 4070 Super, the RTX 3080, and the Radeon 9070 XT. The price difference between these cards is around $80, following their performance order. However, I realized that the 9070 XT is significantly more expensive—about $300-$350 higher than the others. Additionally, the RTX 5070 has come to my attention as a potential option, priced $50 above the 4070 Super. What do you all think? Are any of these upgrades worth it?

Honestly, I think it all boils down to what you're looking for in an upgrade. If you're expecting a significant performance boost, the 9070 XT will deliver!
The 9070 XT is pretty comparable to the 5070 Ti performance-wise, which could be a better buy if you're looking to save. If you're in the US, I'd suggest avoiding the new 30 or 40 series unless you snag a great deal. So yeah, I’d say the 9070 XT is the best pick from your list!
For a big jump in performance, the 9070 XT is the way to go. If you really want a noticeable difference, you’ll feel it with this card!
I would suggest going for the Radeon 9070 XT. It outperforms the others, has more VRAM, and will likely receive longer software support, plus it usually comes with a warranty. It’s definitely a solid investment!
Could you clarify your choice? What makes it better in practical terms?
If you compare the non-XT 9070 and the 5070, you'll find the 5070 is usually cheaper and has the Nvidia features. The 4070 Super is decent too, just not the best right now. In terms of performance, I'd rate the 5070 a bit higher than the 4070 Super, then 3080.
Got it! That’s really helpful, thanks!

Thanks for the insight! I’ll consider it before making a decision.
