Advice on Upgrading My First PC with an RTX 5070 and i7-14700K

I'm about to finish building my first PC and I'm already thinking about future upgrades. Right now, I'm setting up a computer with an Intel i5-12600KF, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz, an RTX 5050 for graphics, and a 1TB SSD, all powered by a 750W PSU in a stylish AIR RGB case. Once I get it up and running, I want to upgrade to an i7-14700K and an RTX 5070 to play games at 1440p, plus maybe expand to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. Alternatively, I'm considering the RX 9070 XT instead of the RTX 5070. I'm a bit anxious about some of the technical stuff, like switching out the PSU and updating the BIOS—I've no clue how to enable XMP either. The case dimensions are 425 x 405 x 210 mm, and it's designed to support mATX/mITX motherboards. Are there any potential pitfalls I should look out for with these upgrades, or am I good to go?

Have you thought about switching to AMD? It could save you some hassle down the road since you'd be able to upgrade the CPU without needing a new motherboard. I get that DDR5 RAM can be pricey, but going for 64GB of DDR4 seems like overkill unless you really need it for professional stuff. Just something to think about!

I did think about switching to AM5, but I already have the B760M motherboard plus DDR4 RAM. I'm hoping to find an easier drop-in upgrade without shelling out for a new motherboard and RAM. Is the i7-14700K still worth it for what I have?
