I recently upgraded my graphics card from an Nvidia to an AMD Radeon 6600, and I'm facing issues where my games barely run. I've used DDU to completely uninstall the old drivers and then fresh-installed the latest drivers from the AMD website. My system has a 750W power supply and 16GB of RAM. However, I'm noticing that my CPU usage is at 100%, which seems like it could be the culprit, but I've heard varying opinions on whether this is actually the problem. Can anyone give me some advice on what might be going on?

First off, what's your CPU? Knowing the specs can help figure out potential bottlenecks. Also, it's important to check your CPU temperature while gaming and see how much your GPU is being utilized. What resolution are you gaming at, and what's your FPS in the games you're having trouble with? That info can really help pinpoint the issue.

From what you've described, having 100% CPU usage usually suggests that your CPU might not be powerful enough for the GPU you installed. It would be helpful to know what your previous Nvidia card was, as well as the CPU model you're using now.

I upgraded from an EVGA GeForce 1050 Ti, and my current CPU is an Intel i3-8300.
