Am I Being Scammed After My Battery Replacement?

Hey everyone! I recently got my iPhone battery replaced at a store that claimed to be Apple certified. Initially, I thought it was all good, but now my battery seems to be performing worse than before. They wouldn't show me the battery's packaging, and while they offered to install a different one, it still feels off. Even though my battery health shows as 100%, I've heard it's not hard to fake that. I looked into some battery analytics and found a few concerning data points: 'last_value_BatteryHealthMetric': 127, 'last_value_BatterySerialChanged': true, 'last_value_AppleRawMaxCapacity': 3183, 'last_value_CycleCount': 0. Can someone help me make sense of this? Is it possible that I got scammed?

I’ve had my battery replaced at Apple too, and they always note it in the settings under battery health. If yours isn’t showing that, it might be a sign the job wasn’t done properly. You deserve to feel confident in your repair!

You definitely should check if that store is an Apple Authorized Service Provider. They have to use genuine parts and follow certain guidelines. If they aren’t listed on Apple's site, that's a big red flag!

Yeah, I checked and they’re not listed there. The guy mentioned they’ll be certified soon but I’m skeptical. I just want to make a formal complaint if I got ripped off.
