Am I completely safe after running a full malware scan?

I'm feeling a bit anxious after dealing with what turned out to be a false positive related to a Trojan from downloading Adobe software. I did a full system scan with Malwarebytes and Microsoft Defender, and both didn't find any issues. So, does that mean I'm totally safe now? If there had been a Trojan, wouldn't those scans have caught it?

It sounds like you encountered a false positive during that Adobe download. If you got the software from the official Adobe site and both scans are clean, you should be in the clear. Just to be safe, keep an eye on your accounts and consider using additional security measures like two-factor authentication.

It really depends on what kind of malware you might have encountered originally. Some types of malware can execute once, grab your browser data, and then vanish. If both your antivirus programs came back clean, you should generally be okay. But if you're still concerned about a potential malicious app, it might be a good idea to change your passwords for any sensitive accounts.
