Hey everyone, I'm starting to think I might have a virus on my computer. I keep getting these alerts from Norton saying that my subscription has expired. However, the message looks suspicious because part of it is in red and "EXPIRED" is in all caps. I can't share a screenshot, but I've heard that some viruses disguise themselves as antivirus software. Any advice on what I should do? I'm running Windows 11 here.

It’s great that you've decided to uninstall Norton! That should help a lot. Since you mentioned you had Malwarebytes before, just go ahead and keep using that or switch to Windows Defender; it's actually pretty solid and free!
Just a heads up, if you're thinking about making any changes to your system settings or BIOS, make sure you have your data backed up first! It’s easy to lose data if something goes wrong during those changes.
Those notifications might be coming from Norton itself, trying to get you to renew your license, or they could be ads from a problematic website through your browser. I suggest just uninstalling Norton if you're not planning to renew it. You might also want to check your browser settings and remove any sketchy sites that are allowed to send notifications.
