Am I Facing a CPU Bottleneck with My 9070 XT?

I recently installed Stalker 2 on my PC, which has an i5 9600K processor paired with a 9070 XT graphics card. After checking some benchmarks, I expected the 9070 XT would handle 60 fps at 1440p without issues. I noticed that a 9800x3d gets around 70-80 fps at epic settings at this resolution. With my setup, I'm achieving about 65 to 80 fps, but not on all epic settings. When I lower the resolution scaling to 50%, I see those fps figures, but at 100% scaling, it drops to around 50 fps. I'm confused about whether this is a CPU bottleneck or if there's an issue with my 9070 XT.

Stalker 2 is quite demanding on the CPU, and since your 9600K is an older model, it's likely you're facing a bottleneck. You should check the GPU utilization while gaming—if it's not hitting 100%, then your CPU is probably the limiting factor here.

I just checked, and the GPU utilization is between 98% to 100% during gameplay. That’s why I’m puzzled about the performance.

To get a clearer picture, use a performance metrics overlay program while you’re gaming. This will show you GPU utilization, power draw, and boost clocks. It can really help identify what's holding performance back.
