I'm planning to buy a PC with a 5080 GPU and an Intel i7 14700F processor, mainly for gaming. However, I'm worried about potential bottleneck issues with these specs. Could someone provide some insights on this?

It really depends on the resolution. At 1080p, you might notice your CPU limiting your FPS a bit. But at 4K, the GPU will likely be the one holding things back instead.

You're good to go for 1440p or even 4K gaming!

What about gaming at 1080p though?

The 14700F is a solid choice even in 2026. Just keep in mind that 'bottlenecks' can vary based on the specific game and situation. Like in Minecraft, you can be limited by CPU or GPU depending on what's happening in-game.

Nope, you're all set! That combo should work just fine without any severe bottlenecks.

For 1440p and 4K, you won't have issues. The 14700F is still a fast CPU today.

Just make sure the rest of your hardware is decent too. A good SSD and RAM around 6000 MHz or so will help a lot!
