I accidentally bent some pins on my AM5 motherboard while trying to install the CPU. I spent hours trying to fix them with a needle, but they still don't look great. Now I'm really nervous about powering it on because I don't want to risk damaging my CPU or other components. Is there any hope for fixing this, or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new motherboard?

Honestly, it’s probably better to just replace the motherboard. It's one of the cheaper parts of your build, and risking more expensive components isn’t worth it.
It’s definitely doable! If you’ve got the patience and skill, you might be able to bend them back into place without too much trouble.
I bent some pins on my ASUS motherboard before as well. I sent it in for repairs, and the CPU was totally fine when I used it later. Your CPU might be alright too, but it’s a bit of a gamble.
The AM5 socket does have the tiniest pins, but it’s not impossible to fix. Just take your time and be careful.
You’ve got over 1700 pins in total on the AM5, and bending one-tenth of them still leaves a lot intact. Good luck! It might just work.
