AMD Radeon RX 7700 vs Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti: Which One Should I Choose?

I'm trying to upgrade my old CPU for my son, and I'm stuck between two graphics cards: the AMD Radeon RX 7700 (16GB) and the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti (16GB). I've checked some past comparisons, but I'm curious about opinions in 2026. The 5060 Ti is $262 more expensive but only offers about 5 extra FPS in games (160 FPS for the 7700 versus 165 FPS for the 5060 Ti). I'm also considering whether to upgrade my old PC with either a 3060 Ti (8GB) or a 4060 Ti (16GB), which cost about $100-150 more on eBay. Currently, I'm using a 1660 SUPER and I'm aware I'll need a new power supply for the upgrade. The motherboard (B460M PRO) and the i5-10600KF processor should handle either upgrade with minimal bottlenecking, possibly around 1%. I'm looking for any insights on these options! Thanks!

The RTX 5060 Ti is a more powerful GPU overall and offers a lot of features that enhance gaming. However, it does come with a higher price tag. If you're looking for a slightly less expensive option, consider the 9060 XT, which performs nearly as well as the 5060 Ti but usually at a better price.

Thanks for the insight! I was leaning towards the AMD model since others have mentioned it too. By the way, will the 9060 fit the same port as the 1660 SUPER?
