Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now and hoping some of you might have a solution. I'm using iOS 18.4.1, and my Apple Mail app just won't notify me with sounds or banners when I get new emails. I've tried everything! I've turned on all notification settings, made sure Focus mode is off, and even reset network settings, but nothing seems to help. I've got my mail accounts set to push or fetch as needed, deleted and re-added accounts, even reset my entire phone on Apple Support's advice. The only time I know I have mail is when I manually open the app or when my phone is charging. Has anyone else dealt with this issue on iOS 18.4.1? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a couple of things to check:
1. Go into your email notification settings and make sure notifications are properly enabled.
2. Ensure push is turned on for accounts that support it. Keep in mind, Gmail and Yahoo don’t support push notifications on iOS.
3. If your account can't support push, make sure you’ve set a fetch schedule. If fetch is manual, then your phone won't check for new mail until you do it manually.
This is actually a known problem for users on IMAP since late 2024. The stock iOS Mail app doesn’t support IMAP-IDLE or IMAP-Push, which is frustrating. Some email providers have tried to work around it by requesting a push certificate from Apple, but those requests have been discontinued. Unfortunately, it seems like Apple isn't addressing this issue anytime soon. What email provider are you using?
I’m having the same problem with my iCloud account! I’ve set custom notifications, and the app only updates when I manually use my phone. I've even deleted and reinstalled the Mail app, but no luck.
