Are 80°C GPU and 104°C hotspot temps normal for an RTX 3070 Eagle OC?

Hey, everyone! I'm curious about the temperature performance of my used RTX 3070 Eagle OC. During stress tests with FurMark and MSI Afterburner, I'm seeing temperatures reach about 80°C on the GPU and 104°C on the hotspot. While gaming on Warzone at QHD with minimum settings, it hits around 79°C. Should I be concerned about these temps, or is this normal?

My old 2080 had similar overheating issues due to dust buildup even after cleaning. I had to replace the thermal paste and now it runs around 60-70°C under load. Just a thought!

Those temps aren't terrible, but definitely not ideal. If you can, it might help to repaste and improve airflow. Just a suggestion!

While 80°C during FurMark isn't critically bad, the 104°C hotspot is concerning. You might want to consider another repaste, but this time try a phase change pad like the Thermalright Heilos. They can significantly help with cooling. Undervolting could also make a huge difference if you're up for it.

It sounds like it just needs some new thermal paste. If you've already done that, then maybe check to see if airflow is an issue, as it can still make a difference.

I did change the paste before noticing the heat issue, but it was even worse before. Still trying to figure this out.

80°C on the GPU is pretty standard during stress tests, but 104°C on the hotspot is definitely on the high side. If the card is used, you might need to do a repaste since it’s likely aging around 5 years.

Yeah, that was my concern too! I already repasted it, and it's still running a bit hot. I found that removing the side glass helped it cool down slightly by about 3 degrees.
